OpenAI has launched Stargate UK, a partnership with NVIDIA and Nscale, aiming to build sovereign AI infrastructure in the UK so that AI models can run on local compute for use cases where data jurisdiction is important.
The project involves deploying up to ~8,000 GPUs in the UK by Q1 2026, with potential to scale up to ~31,000 GPUs over time.
As part of the initiative, OpenAI will bring its OpenAI Academy (an AI literacy hub) to the UK to support up skilling 7.5 million workers by 2030 and ensure regions aren’t left behind.
Workday is acquiring Sana—an AI company focused on knowledge tools like AI-powered search, agents, and learning platforms—for about US$1.1 billion.
Sana’s technologies (Sana Learn and Sana Agents) will be integrated into Workday to create a more proactive, personalized employee experience by converging knowledge, data, action, and learning.
Use cases include automating routine workflows, enhancing internal mobility, accelerating learning content creation, and leveraging Workday context (people, roles, projects) to anticipate user needs.
Meta Connect 2025 is expected to showcase new AI-powered smart glasses (in partnership with Ray-Ban and Oakley), possibly with a heads-up display and advanced sensors/features.
The event may include updates from Meta’s Superintelligence Lab and broader AI ambitions, plus announcements around VR hardware or metaverse-related products.
Viewers can watch the keynote livestream, which will be held in Menlo Park, via Meta’s website, Facebook, or through Meta Quest headsets. Developer sessions will follow, delving into future of contextual AI, glasses, and device-experiences.
CodeRabbit raises $60M, valuing the 2-year-old AI code review startup at $550M

CodeRabbit raised $60 million in a Series B, pushing its valuation to $550 million, with total funding to date reaching ~$88 million.
The startup provides AI-powered code review tools to help catch errors in code generated by AI assistants, reducing human review workload and speeding up development.
It’s seeing strong growth: ~20% monthly growth, more than $15 million in ARR, and usage by thousands of companies.
Jack Altman (co-founder of Lattice) has raised $275 million for his firm Alt Capital in just one week.
This new fund is a sizable increase from his first fund (~$150 million in early 2024), and will be used to invest in early-stage companies.
Investments include David AI (speech-datasets), Owner.com (restaurant software), among others—showing focus on AI/data infrastructure and vertically-oriented SaaS.
