WhatsApp now lets users long-press a message and choose “Translate” to convert it into another language.
Android users can enable automatic translation for entire chats, while iPhone already supports more than 19 languages at launch.
Initial rollout covers languages like English, Spanish, Hindi, Portuguese, Russian, and Arabic, with more planned.

Five new sites are being added in Texas, New Mexico, and Ohio, with another Midwestern location to be announced.
The expansion is part of a $500 billion plan to deliver 10 gigawatts of compute capacity by the end of 2025.
The projects will create over 25,000 direct jobs and improve scalability and efficiency for advanced AI workloads.
Meta formed the American Technology Excellence Project, a super PAC with tens of millions in funding.
The PAC will support tech-friendly political candidates and oppose restrictive state-level AI policies.
It launches amid more than 1,000 AI-related bills introduced across all 50 U.S. states this year.

YouTube will allow previously banned channels to return if they commit to following current policies.
The company says its updated rules are better suited to handle evolving misinformation risks.
Critics worry the decision could enable the spread of harmful narratives ahead of the U.S. 2026 elections.
Disney Plus is raising subscription prices starting October 21, with ad-supported plans going up by $2 and ad-free plans by $3.
Prices have steadily risen since the service launched in 2019 at $6.99 per month.
While Disney’s streaming division is finally profitable, the hikes may risk alienating subscribers during a sensitive period.
